The Music

Kurt: I think that every album we do is like a snapshot in time, a memory. I listen to the three KJB albums, even the New Sun Union albums (which I don't listen to very often,) and I really enjoy it because each one represents a particular time in my life, and specific things that were going on. In my mind, that is a good thing artistically. It means those albums and songs represented something, were about something real. I can remember what I felt when I wrote every one of those songs, and I hope that I feel that same way when I play them.

We have evolved a little bit with every album, whether it's technically better or technically worse. Sometimes it's a just different feeling to the music, or other subtle changes, but I think it's all growth. When it's not, I think that's the time to hang it up and sell the guitars...

...except for the one I'd keep around the house, of course.
